Whether you have a desire to learn Italian as a second language, want to pick up a few words or phrases for that trip to Italy, or talk to one of your Italian relatives, this is the class for you! Our teachers, Thomas and Antoinette Stuto of Stoneham, have been teaching Adult Education Italian to the local communities for many years. Antoinette also teaches Italian to our students in the Burlington public school system and has been part of a team of teachers that takes their students to Italy every year. In addition to learning the Italian language you will learn many interesting facts about Italy’s culture, people, food and land.
The Order Sons of Italy Burlington Lodge 2223 has been organizing and supporting the Italian language classes for over ten years and the program is one of the lodge's proud achievements. The ongoing goal of the lodge is to teach Italian to interested members of the community. This goal is a 'work-in-progress' in which many people over the years have been introduced to and educated in the Italian language.
The majority of new students enroll in the Beginner 1 & 2 classes to prepare themselves to be able to converse in their native tongue in preparation for that 'one and only trip to their homeland'. Also, many students have completed the entire course and come back year after year to keep up with their conversational skills. Whatever the reason, the experience of learning a new language can be most rewarding and enjoyable.
If interested in signing up for class and there are questions, contact the Italian Class Director, Carol Nappa at 617-650-6302 or e-mail at capenonna@yahoo.com. for general information.
For specific information about class content, please call our teacher, Tom Stuto at 781-438-6720.
Don't forget to mail that registration form in early to reserve your place if unable to register in person on January 20th.
